Anand Rama
– Technical Director
Mr. Rama has
been involved in advanced software development for more than 10
years. Prior to his involvement with Micromega Systems, he last
served as a Technical Director at AlphaSoft Consulting Services.
In that role he was responsible for overseeing the technical architecture
and implementation for full life-cycle application development engagements.
Additionally, he was also responsible for the mentoring and development
of the AlphaSoft offshore application development team.
Anand is well
versed in image processing and document management systems on Unix
and Windows, as well as Microsoft, Oracle and J2EE platform application
design, integration and development. Prior to AlphaSoft, he was
the Chief Technology Office at StoragePoint Inc. where he was responsible
for the technical vision and development for the products and services
offered by StoragePoint. As a Senior IT Consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers
LLP he was involved developing distributed document management systems
for a Fortune 500 client in the Bay Area. Prior to that, he completed
multiple assignments with TCSI Corporation, Alameda.
At Audre Incorporated,
he was Manager of the Text Recognition R&D department, developing
advanced neural-network Optical Character Recognition software.
Mr. Rama studied Mechanical Engineering, earning a B.S. from the
College of Technology of India, and an M.S. from the South Dakota
School of Mines and Technology.
